1. What this covers
There are two different kinds of money on this platform, and they work differently.
Platform fees are what your society pays us to use the software. Sections 2 to 7 are about those.
Maintenance payments are what residents pay their society. That money never belongs to us — it settles directly into the society's own Razorpay account. Section 8 explains how those are refunded.
2. The free year
The admin tools are free for the first year from the date your society is created. There is nothing to refund during that period, and you can stop at any point without owing anything.
3. 14-day money back on platform fees
If your society pays its first platform invoice and decides within 14 days that the product is not for you, email us and we will refund that invoice in full. No forms.
This applies to the first invoice after your free year ends, so the committee can use the paid service properly before committing.
4. After the first 14 days
After that we do not refund part of a cycle you have already paid for. If you cancel, your society keeps access to the end of the period it has paid for, and it simply does not renew.
5. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time. No fee, no lock-in.
- Ask us from your billing settings, or email us and we will do it
- Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues to the end of the current period
- Your data stays put so you can export it or come back later. The Terms of Service set out how long we keep it
6. Failed payments
If a renewal fails we tell you and retry before restricting anything, and we hold your data while you sort it out. A failed payment is not a charge, so there is nothing to refund.
7. Asking for a refund
Email [email protected] from the address on the account and tell us which invoice you want refunded. Inside the 14-day window, that is all we need.
Refunds go back the way the payment came in. Razorpay processes the reversal, and how long it takes to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.
8. Maintenance paid by residents
Maintenance, fines and amenity charges are collected by the society, into the society's own payment account. We are not a party to that payment and we cannot refund it.
- A resident who wants a refund should raise it with their committee
- A committee can issue a refund from the Collections module, and we pass the instruction to Razorpay
- Refunds settle back to the resident's original payment method, on Razorpay's timelines
- Whether a refund is due at all — a duplicate payment, a wrongly levied charge, a disputed fine — is the society's decision under its own bye-laws
